New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s presence is requested.
The six-time Super Bowl champion is wanted to grand marshal the Pegasus Parade — the annual event held on the Thursday before the Kentucky Derby.
Mike Berry, the CEO of the Kentucky Derby Festival, hopes Brady, who has attended The Run for the Roses in years past, will accept the invitation this May.
After 33 years at the helm event, Berry is retiring after the Derby this year.
So he’s crafted an open invitation to Brady — his favorite NFL player — to come to Louisville and ride down Broadway.
The festival, Kentucky’s largest single annual even includes several star-studded events, including Thunder Over Louisville — the largest fireworks display in North America — the Great Balloon Race and the Great Steamboat Race, among others.
