Minnesota police responded to a welfare check request only to find a cardboard cutout of MyPillow CEO and inventor Michael Lindell, police said Thursday.
The Jordan Police Department received a call saying a man was standing motionless outside in the cold. Reportedly, the man was not wearing a coat and was hugging a pillow. The caller may have thought they were witnessing a “deranged person,” the department said on Facebook.
When police responded, they found the large cardboard cutout of Lindell.
“Those cardboard cutouts sure can look real from a distance …. always better to call the police,” the post said.
Lindell is a Minnesota native and MyPillow is headquartered in Chaska, located about 15 miles north of Jordan, CNBC reports.
